Congratulations to our Truly Moving Picture Oscar Winners!

We are proud to announce that four of our Truly Moving Picture Award-winning films from 2009 received much-deserved Oscars this year! Sandra Bullock received her first Oscar of all time for her role in The Blind Side which prompted a fantastic and emotional speech (our favorite of the night). No surprise to us, Mo’Nique won for her amazing, supporting role in Precious. If you haven’t seen Precious , it comes to DVD today so get your hands on a copy. Although we love the whole film of course, Mo’Nique’s role is phenomenal. Precious also received the award for best adapted screenplay.

Up won for Best Original Score as well as Best Animated Feature Film of the Year. If you haven’t seen Up (shame on you!) bring some tissues. You may not believe that an animated film can bring tears to your eyes, but Up will prove you wrong!

Last but in no way least, The Cove won Best Documentary Feature. This amazing film brings to light the dolphin slaughtering practices in Japan. Another tough film, but definitely worth watching, this film is currently on DVD so check it out!

We are proud of all of our Truly Moving Picture Oscar winners as well as the large list of nominations (because that is an incredible honor too!) Check out the list of nominations for the 2010 Oscars.
