With help from Earshot Audio Post in the Broad Ripple neighborhood of Indianapolis, Heartland Film Festival and Truly Moving Pictures are proud to present the first episode in their newest endeavor: Podcasting. These mini-radio shows are convenient audio files to add to the MP3 player on your computer or portable device. Hosted by Lisa Trifone, Heartland's Web Administrator, this first episode offers a quick introduction to Heartland Film Festival and Truly Moving Pictures for those listeners unfamiliar with our mission to recognize and honor filmmakers whose work explores the human journey by artistically expressing hope and respect for the positive values life. Following a quick history, listeners are treated to some of the segments that will be regular features on the monthly installments of the show. Most importantly, the podcast is a way to keep up on the latest Truly Moving Pictures coming to theaters; in this episode, Lisa shares Flicka and Everyone's Hero with listeners. The 2006 Festival is just around the corner, and the debut episode of the podcast features the first of several interviews with filmmakers. Mark Gordon, writer and director of Her Majesty, took the time to talk with Lisa about his experiences at the Festival, where he won a Crystal Heart Award in 2002. As a filmmaker, he constantly finds himself inspired, and Gordon shares those films he finds personally Moving. With a quick overview of the events of the 2006 Festival, Lisa wraps up the innaugural episode of the Heartland Truly Moving Pictures Podcast.
