Truly Moving Pictures

Finding Inspiration in Literature and Movies is a recent partnership between two influential organizations, National Collaboration for Youth and Heartland's Truly Moving Pictures. Both groups share a vested interest in promoting meaningful cultural experiences to audiences, and this latest initiative will bring another layer to these efforts.

F.I.L.M. is a literary and cinematic initiative aimed and promoting books and the films created from them to children across the country. The partnership includes free, downloadable activity guides and complete service project plans that relate to each book and film.

With NCY's ability to reach over 40 million youth nationwide, there is a unique and undeniable opportunity associated with this program. Our ongoing mission at Truly Moving Pictures is to engage Hollywood with our message that audiences desire truly inspiring, positively-themed films. By associating with NCY and creating a program as comprehensive as F.I.L.M, we're able to include one of the most influential audiences--youth--in our message to studios and filmmakers.

Created in 2004, F.I.L.M. has already included over half a dozen Truly Moving Pictures in their programs. Titles include Dreamer: Inspired by a True Story, Because of Winn-Dixie, Glory Road, and Saving Shiloh. The newest releases (with program materials currently in development) include the upcoming Everyone's Hero and Flicka.
