INDIANAPOLIS (July 22, 2010) –Anthony Edwards, John Mahoney, Penelope Ann Miller and Rob Reiner will attend the Heartland Premiere of their new film, Flipped, from Castle Rock Entertainment and Warner Bros. Pictures, on Monday, August 2, at Hilbert Circle Theatre in downtown Indianapolis (45 Monument Circle).

Edwards (ER), Mahoney (Fraiser) and Miller (Men of a Certain Age) will join director, writer and producer Reiner (Stand by Me, When Harry Met Sally, The Bucket List) for the premiere as well as a Q&A session following the screening of Flipped, winner of the Heartland Truly Moving Picture Award. The Q&A session will be led by Indiana’s own Angelo Pizzo, famed screenwriter and producer of Hoosiers and Rudy.

“It’s truly an honor to have Flipped recognized by the Heartland organization,” said Rob Reiner. “On behalf of the many people who helped bring this wonderful story to the screen, I’m happy to be attending the Heartland Premiere in Indianapolis along with some of the cast. I hope audiences will see in Flipped some of the same things that we saw in it—the sweetness and humor of first love, and the importance of understanding who we are and what really matters in life.”

Opening in limited release on August 6 and nationwide on August 27, Flipped is a coming-of-age romantic comedy that follows young neighbors Juli and Bryce from grade school to junior high, through triumph and disaster, family drama and first love, as they make the discoveries that will define who they are and who they are to each other. Flipped is directed by Rob Reiner from a screenplay he co-wrote with Andrew Scheinman, based on the novel by Wendelin Van Draanen. Reiner also produced the film with Alan Greisman. It is rated PG for language and some thematic material.

The evening’s events, sponsored by Republic Services Inc., Old National Bank and ExactTarget, Inc., will include a red carpet event, screening, and Q&A session, followed immediately by a dessert reception. Tickets to the event are on sale now. Doors open at 6 p.m., with the screening beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets for reserved seating will be available in advance for $25 each and a limited amount of tickets will be available at the door.
