Heartland Truly Moving Pictures will host the Heartland Premiere of Castle Rock Entertainment and Warner Bros. Pictures’ upcoming major motion picture Flipped on Monday, August 2, at Hilbert Circle Theatre in downtown Indianapolis (45 Monument Circle). Director, writer and producer Rob Reiner, is scheduled to attend the event along with members of the film’s cast.
Flipped is the latest addition to Reiner’s outstanding directorial credits, joining such memorable films as Stand by Me, When Harry Met Sally, A Few Good Men and The Bucket List. As an actor, Reiner is also widely known for his work in such films as Sleepless in Seattle and his Emmy Award-winning role in the 1970s sitcom All in the Family.
“To have Rob Reiner here in Indianapolis for this event is a true honor and we are proud to host the Heartland premiere of this incredible film,” said Jeffrey L. Sparks, President and CEO of Heartland Truly Moving Pictures. “We’re also excited that people in the Heartland will have a jump on other filmgoers in America, as they’ll have the opportunity to view this movie before it opens in theaters around the country.”
Tickets for this red carpet event go on sale June 30 and include a Q&A session with Reiner and members of the cast, as well as a dessert reception immediately following the screening. Doors open at 6 p.m., with the screening beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets for reserved seating will be available in advance for $25 each and a limited amount of tickets will be available at the door. Opening in limited release on August 6 and nationwide on August 27, Flipped is a coming-of-age romantic comedy that follows a young couple from grade school to junior high, through triumph and disaster, family drama and first love, as they make the discoveries that will define who they are and who they are to each other. Flipped is directed by Reiner from a screenplay he co-wrote with Andrew Scheinman, based on the novel by Wendelin Van Draanen. Reiner also produced the film with Alan Greisman. This film has been rated PG for language and some thematic material.
In coordination with the event, Rob Reiner along with dignitaries from the state of Indiana will take part in a major announcement by Heartland Truly Moving Pictures the same day.
