Ben Crane, a Kentucky horse trainer, watches in horror as a young racehorse shatters her leg during a practice run. Usually such an injury means the end for a horse, but Crane’s daughter, Cale, is at the track that day. Rather than break her heart, he buys the horse, losing his job for the decision. The horse joins Cale and her father at their farm and soon becomes a member of the family.
