Jefferson Bailey, a talented blues musician in his 30s, had a difficult upbringing. Forced to grow up fast, Jefferson is now working menial jobs. After a drunken night, a mysterious gentleman approaches Bailey. The man’s grandfather recently died and he has been informed about a forthcoming inheritance. As the two travel through the deepest parts of the South, they hit every juke joint in sight. Over the course of their road trip, Bailey’s own story unfolds.
