"This was such an inspiring message. I loved the racial barriers that were broken down and the compassion that the character portrayed by Sandra Bullock had. What a powerful message about unconditional love and the power of investing into someone's life. I feel inspired to open my life and heart to more people and live in a way that offers more love and acceptance."
-Tamara Shaya
"This is an amazing story and very well done! This film reminded me to continue to show love and compassion to all human beings and encouraged me to take risks not previously considered. Awesome movie!"
-Deb Conley
This was a very uplifting, enjoyable movie. I brought my 12-year-old son with me and he loved it as much as I did. Today when I went to work, I told several of my co-workers that this is the movie to see during the Thanksgiving holiday as it really reminds us to count our blessings and to have the courage to live honorably. There was just the right amount of humor to temper the seriousness of some of the themes of the movie and it was nice to leave the theater feeling energized.
-Nancy Gwin
"This movie was a great real life story showing how generosity can change individuals' lives. It has reminded me to be appreciative of what I have and to share what I can with others."
-Lori Schlosser
"As someone who typically avoids all things football-related, I can honestly say that I enjoyed this movie tremendously! After reading the review of the book in the NY Times, I can say that the movie stayed true to the book and still made for superb viewing. I laughed and cried throughout the movie and felt that the story was one that could have been played out in any city across America so EVERYONE needs to see this movie!"
-Angela Leddy
"The movie was very heart warming and inspiring. Especially with the bad economy and holidays, it was uplifting. Wish there were more people in the world like the Touhy family."
-Donna Mikell
"Wow! This movie was one of the few movies that evoked strong emotions of heartache while uplifting my spirit. Great job."
-Jami Perkins
"The Blind Side was a SUPER movie! Thanks for the opportunity to participate in the screening. The story was great. I enjoyed it. This is the best movie I have seen this year. It is a movie that I would want to see again and again. It is a truly moving picture!"
-Woody Collins
"I thought it was a great movie. It shows the impact human kindness has on someone else's life, in this case someone you never imagine getting involved with because it seems outside your comfort zone. The movie had lots of humor but you left thinking how about how many young people are in similar home situations that need someone to help make a difference in their lives. They need someone that cares, someone who will pay attention to them, someone who can help make a positive difference in the world around us."
-Lisa Abbott
"I really enjoyed the movie. The bottom line is that we are all human beings that have feelings. We all need each other to make it on this earth. Thanks to the sponsors and to Heartland for such a Moving Movie!"
