The Heartland High School Film Competition will choose five films as finalists in the competition.
Four finalists will receive:
$500 cash*
Two FEST Passes for the 2010 Heartland Film Festival
Two tickets to attend the 2010 Heartland Film Festival Crystal Heart Awards Gala where they will be recognized
A screening of the film during the 2010 Heartland Film Festival as part of High School Film Competition program

One grand prize winner, in addition to the above will receive:
$2500 cash*
Travel & accommodations paid for the filmmaker and one guardian for the opening week of the 2010 Heartland Film Festival

*Per U.S. tax code and tax treaties, Heartland High School Film Competition will withhold U.S. taxes from monetary prizes when applicable, totaling as much as 30 percent of the cash award, regardless of recipients’ citizenship. Taxes withheld will be deposited with the U.S. Internal Revenue Service.
