Usually such an injury means the end for a horse, but Crane's daughter, Cale, is at the track that day. Rather than break her heart, he buys the horse, losing his job for the decision. The horse joins Cale and her father at their farm and soon becomes a member of the family. More than just an animal, the horse proves to be the salve this damaged family needed to begin to heal.
With a spirit as big as the horse itself, Dreamer gives audiences a reason to cheer for the underdog and appreciate the people in our lives that matter. Its message of unconditional love and the winning spirit of both human and beast are enough to bring the film to the forefront of those that inspire.
